Fantasy Baseball Heaven

When does the season start?

The season starts with the first game of the major league season. Check in with www.mlb.com for the exact date.

How does the draft work?

FBH has a live, online draft. Private leagues will select a date and time from an available list of times. Public leagues will draft approximately 48 hours after the league is filled.
You may pre-rank players prior to the draft and if you can't log in at the time of the draft, the system will automatically draft your team based on your preferred selections. (Or the FBH ranking if you don't pre-rank.)

Does Fantasy Baseball Heaven have trading?

Yes. You may propose trades all year long free of charge and you may protest trades that seem ridiculously one-sided.

Are there transaction fees?

You may play this game free all year long. However, if you wish to add extra historical players to your roster, there is a small fee of $1, $2, or $3, depending on the player you want to purchase. You may also make one free add/drop per week of current players. There is a $1 charge for each additional roster add/drop during the week.

How often are the standings updated?

You play a 162 game schedule, just like major league baseball. Your standings are updated each day.

What Stat categories for scoring do you have?

The default categories for FBH are:
Batters: R, HR, RBI, SB, & OPS

Pitchers: K, ER, W, ERA, SV, and WHIP

For private leagues, you may add many more categories if you like, but these are the ones we recommend.

How often are the MLB stats updated?

MLB and Historical Stats are updated every night.

Does Fantasy Baseball Heaven issue prizes for winners?

There are no prizes provided by Fantasy Baseball Heaven.

How many teams in a league?

Public leagues consist of 12 teams split into two divisions.

Private leagues will be 6, 8, 10, or 12 teams. The 12 team league has the option of aligning into 2 divisions.

What is the format?

This is daily, head-to-head competition. You get a win or a loss each day of the season. You’ll play a 162 game schedule, then have playoffs with a championship series to determine the league champion.
Your season will consist of a 3 game series each Monday through Wednesday, then a 4 game series against a different opponent from Thursday through Sunday. This will repeat all year long, with the exception of the MLB all-star break.

Can two teams in the same league have the same retired player?

No, there is only one Babe Ruth or Walter Johnson in each league.
